Hemp is an emerging crop in America. The US Department of Agriculture, through the National Institute for Hemp and Agricultural Research, have created a program to simplify the licensing process for hemp growers.

USDA Hemp License Application Process USDA has created a three-step application process that is easy to follow:

1) Apply for a USDA permit – You can waive this step if you are an established grower with a USDA permit. If you are not currently registered with the USDA, you must submit an application and pay the $250 fee. USDA will then check your information against existing databases and determine whether or not they can approve your application. If approved, you will need to show proof of registration as a current licensee when applying for your license. Remember that it may take up to two weeks to receive your approval email after submitting your application.

2) Submit License Application – Once approved by the USDA, you will need to submit your license application form via email or fax (make sure it includes all necessary signatures).

3) Purchase Certificate of Origin – You must purchase and upload this certificate before submitting your license application form via email or fax (make sure it includes all necessary signatures). Once uploaded, this certificate shows that the product was produced in compliance with federal law and regulations. This prevents companies looking at importing hemp products from mislabeling them as being made from certified organic American-grown hemp.”

Growing hemp is one of the best ways to diversify your farm as it is strong, versatile, and a high-value crop. Hemp has many benefits that make it a great addition to any farm.

One of the main benefits of growing hemp is that it’s very versatile. Hemp can be used in food, medicine, textiles, construction material, biofuel, and more. This makes it a great choice for any farm looking to diversify its crops or create new opportunities for revenue streams.

Hemp is also strong which makes it perfect for use in many construction projects including houses and building materials like furniture and paper.

Hemp can also be turned into sustainable bio-fuel making it an excellent choice for farms looking to make investments in renewable energy sources that will last long after other fuels have been depleted.

Another benefit of growing hemp is that if you choose to sell some of your crop as biomass or grow hemp just as part of your rotation cycle you will get paid more per acre than with most other crops so you have a better chance at keeping your income high. Finally, hemp offers farmers peace of mind because it’s naturally resistant to pests which means fewer pesticides are needed thus improving soil quality and reducing water pollution.
